abigailpalmer.art shipping and returns policy

Shipping

  • Small original paintings are shipped in strong cardboard boxes, with the artwork protected both sides reduce the risk of damage in transit.
  • Large original paintings are shipped in custom made packages, and sent using couriers that specialise in handling such items.
  • The cost of packing and shipping to UK mainland is included in the cost of the orignal artwork as published on this website.
  • Outside UK mainland and International destinations, the cost of packing and shipping is NOT included, and will be charged at cost.

UK mainland destinations

Orders to UK Mainland destinations will normally be processed within 3 working days from cleared payment. Small originals are dispatched by next day delivery either by Royal Mail or Parcelforce. All artworks will be fully insured against loss / damage.

International destinations

International purchases are sent by a specialist courier. All artworks must be insured to the full amount against loss / damage. Customs, import duties and other country specific taxes are not included, and payment of these charges is the responsibility of the customer.

Delivery

IMPORTANT

  1. Please check the external packaging for any signs of damage or stress before signing for or accepting the delivery. If damage is visible you must get a written acknowlegement that the outer packaging is damaged. This will allow for an insurance claim for the full value of the artwork if your artwork arrives damaged.
  2. Please keep the original shipping carton(s) and protective inserts in case of damage (for inspection) or if you need to return the artwork.
  3. Please email us immediately (sales@abigailpalmer.art) if the packaging is damaged or if the artwork is damaged. Do not return the artwork without contacting us first. 
  4. If the artwork has been damaged in transit you are entitled to a full refund of the purchase price and return shipping costs (and outbound shipping costs if paid by you).

Returns

If you are unhappy with your purchase you are entitled to a full refund on returning the goods.

Under distance selling regulations you have seven-day cooling off period after you have received your artwork to return it if you no longer want it. You must inform us in writing by letter or email (sales@abigailpalmer.art) that you want to return the artwork. The original artwork must:

  • be returned within 30 days of the delivery date.
  • be returned, properly packedaged in the original outbound packaging, and insured for the full purchase value. This is to ensure a full refund can be made to you for artworks that are damaged during return transit.

On receipt of the returned artwork you will be refunded in full for the original purchase price paid.

Return shipping costs are not refunded. The customer is responsible for paying the return shipping costs, including insurance for the full purchase value of the artwork.
